Adding an attachment to an assignment you created

Note: To complete the procedures in this document, you need to be assigned a role that has the necessary permissions. To find out what your role is, follow the directions in Participant roles. To see a list of what permissions are associated with a given role, see Permissions, roles, and tools. For a basic understanding of roles and permissions, see Permissions and Roles: Overview.

To add an attachment to a new, saved, or posted assignment that you created, follow these steps:

  1. In the menubar, click Assignments.

  2. To create a new assignment, click New Assignment. To work on a saved or posted assignment, click Revise.

  3. Fill in or verify any other necessary parameters (e.g., the title and due date), and then click the Add attachments button. (If you are working with an assignment that already has attachments, this will be the Add/drop attachments button.)

  4. Choose the type of attachment to add:

  5. After you have chosen the attachments you wish to make, click Finish.

  6. After you have added your attachment(s), click Post to post your assignment or Save Draft to save the changes. (If the assignment is currently open to participants, you will have only the option of posting the assignment.)
