Changing your site's appearance

Note: To complete the procedures in this document, you need to be assigned a role that has the necessary permissions. To find out what your role is, follow the directions in Participant roles. To see a list of what permissions are associated with a given role, see Permissions, roles, and tools. For a basic understanding of roles and permissions, see Permissions and Roles: Overview.

Course sites

To change the appearance of your course site, you can select from a number of school-affiliated "looks" using the Site Info tool:

  1. From your site's menubar, select Site Info, and then select Edit Site Information.

  2. Use the Appearance (Icon): drop-down menu to select one of the available looks, and then click Continue.

  3. On the confirmation screen, click Finish.

    Note: You may have to refresh your site to see the appearance changes.

To revert to the default appearance:

  1. In the Appearance (Icon): drop-down menu, select *default*, and then click Continue.

  2. On the confirmation screen, click Finish.

Project sites

To change the appearance of your project site, you can choose an icon to display above your site's menubar:

  1. From your site's menubar, select Site Info, and then select Edit Site Information.

  2. Next to "Icon URL:", enter the URL of the image file you want to use as the icon for your site, and then click Continue.

  3. On the confirmation screen, click Finish.

    Note: You may have to refresh your site to see the appearance changes.

To revert to the default appearance (no icon):

  1. Next to "Icon URL:", remove the URL you entered, leaving the field blank.

  2. Click Continue, and on the confirmation screen, click Finish.
